In the age of LLMs it is desperately important to be able to mute blogs and filter websites.

And that's rare.

I wouldn't say I hate AI since it has been useful for a limited number of tasks in my everyday life, but I hate its prose so much. I hate it. I've complained about this pretty incessantly. I can't stand it. Reading its writing is like listening to ASMR, another thing that drives me absolutely bugfuck nuts. Maybe it's my OCD! Maybe it's just that freaking irritating.

Maybe I can't always tell! But many, many times a day, I can. Every single day. I'm being forced off the Internet by this. The only platform that seems blessedly free of wide proliferation of ChatGPT's writing is Bluesky itself, but the AT Protocol is not immune: plenty of Leaflets are clearly LLM-generated. Bear Blog is not immune. No rinky-dink little website is immune.

This development is pretty devastating to me because text based communication is was how I preferred to interact with the world, as recently as a year ago. I read a lot, and fast. In the last few months I've read 20 books, and started more than that. That used to all be on the Internet! Maybe this is better for me, but I don't want what's better for me, I want what I want.

I don't trust an LLM to identify LLM-writing, what I want is some kind of button that I can use to make a website just vanish out of my life. The super block for the entire Internet. Make websites that are copy and pasting this stuff disappear (they can even do it quietly, if they like, they just need to be gone). If I can't block the whole Internet, it would be nice to get a tool that worked on AT Protocol, or whatever your specific platform is! I don't want to punish those websites, I just need an easy way for me personally to never see them again.

I am going to have problems on every single social media website, I think, until this is a solved problem.
